Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

Still down, more than SIX HOURS after problem first noted.

Do Greenby support staff all knock-off for the evening and think that anything that goes wrong during the night can wait till morning?

It was never free.  It was always part of the service we paid for.

Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

Still down, neither POP3 nor webmail working. Service has been very intermittent since this morning (Wed 11 Feb), when I first tried both to send/receive on desktop and to login.

Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

I have a Force9 account with e-mail that has not yet been migrated to Greenby. However, I can't access that either now. Outlook says:

Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for xxx@yyy.co.uk.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for xxx@yyy.co.uk. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

Outlook is attempting to connect to imap.force9.net on port 993 using SSL/TLS. That worked fine this morning.

I have tried logging in to Greenby using the same account details, in case it has been migrated without warning, but that isn't working. I guess that means there's a problem with the Plusnet/Force9 server as well.

Good luck with your claim! See if you can find email provision anywhere in PN terms and conditions. It was a freebie service like the virus protection offered by some ISPs. You may still be able to pay for email -- I left BT many years ago when they tried to charge £1.50 per month for their hacker-ridden BT Yahoo! email service. As I said earlier, you get what you pay for.

Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

@plusnettony would this new issue be the one behind:

'Receiving' reported error (0x800CCCF)

and simultaneously the password for one of my secondary mailboxes not being recognised?

5.47 GMT. I can't get my incoming email or send a test message.

Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

It appears both the Plusnet and Greenby mail servers have gone walk-about.
