Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

Mine just came back.

An hour without email, this is a disappointing level of service.

The Greenby name says it all. In slang, "green" most commonly refers to inexperience, naivety, or being a newcomer.  We can only hope it will be better in a month's time.

Unlikely - how long has this 'transfer' been underway, and has it, or at least the operation of the service, got any better? NO!

Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

I made a huge mistake in following the Greenby AI's instructions to change the email account password this morning in trying to get things working.  I am now still unable to access that account from email clients with either the old or new passwords.  All other mailboxes have returned fine.

Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

Long before the internet there was an old saying that you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Plusnet offered a free email service which it is now ending and I understand Greenby customers will have to pay in the next couple of years. I've paid a few pounds a month for an excellent email service, I can move ISP anytime and still keep my email addy, and I do wonder that so many PN customers can be bothered with this flaky facility.

Plusnet provides me with an excellent great value BB service, first ADSL and now fibre which is all that I signed up for. You get what you pay for ...

Re: Greenby webmail extremely slow

@Longliner I have had 14 years of near-faultless email service from PN, but I will be moving elsewhere for it in the near future.

When the announcement of the move first appeared, I thought it would be to an established/proven platform, so although I expected a few 'issues', given that the PN setup is a little non-standard, I honestly didn't expect the totally messed-up chaos we have ended up with'

And I keep looking for the apologies from PN/BT...............  I suspect none will materialise, though.
