Greenby is really bad at present

Since last migration started my small use of Greenby webmail has been terrible

Ages to login,  always refreshing,  gateway time-outs,  sever error in red box.

this last week i have even lost the ability to RIGHT CLICK and dump to trash any spam/scan emails received without 

having to open them ?.

I turned off the spam filter as it was junking the emails i wanted ( I only get small amount )

I ticketed Greenby about it , reply was i was using classic version instead of plastic, 

So i tried that version but was just as bad, have gone back to classic which i have used for last 15 years

One good thing i suppose Greenby didnt tell me to change my password ?

I had email chats with a Shehin  at Greenby, then 2days later all the emails suddenly appeared in my inbox under heading 

MAIL DELIVERY FAILED ?

Can anyone say how long this migration is going to last for , its making email useless and i am only a basic user.

I too noticed the ability to right click and delete junk email has gone. But it's just as easy to highlight the message and click delete on the top right hand box. Delete is there together with Reply, Reply All, Forward etc.

Greenby's limited server resources have been strained by the migration, resulting in log-in problems. I have asked repeatedly for an estimate of how long the migration process will last but without success.

I do find webmail is clunky & but I have little reason to use it.

Just about any email program or email app on a Laptop or a Mobile greatly improves the experience.

Currently it does seem to be suffering from the migration process. Hopefully, when finished, it will be a more consistent and smoother operation.

I don't understand this. AFAICS you can select as many messages as you want: using the usual selection process of Click AND Shift + Click and then do whatever you want with them. Am I missing somethinge here?

So why not just try turning it down? That's what I did (was 'OFF' in PN Mail, on transfer was set to 'More Aggressive'). Plus, why not 'train' it by marking such emails as 'Not Spam' - I did both and now rarely or ever have that problem. (Thinks: Are people just too impatient with the Greenby Email client?)

I tried everything with the filter every setting possible

white list, black lists but nothing worked

I turned it off so everything goes to my inbox 

luckily i am not getting loads at present but i know the junk and just nice to dump it without even opening

the RIGHT CLICK on the trash is best just click and dump the lot in one go

it is there as it starts to work occassionally

Very strange if i login to the old plusnet webmail which i am still able to do,

and amazingly it loads up quicker than Greenby 

AND the RIGHT CLICK works, it appears I have been dumped from something which was acceptable 

to something that is sub standard and I will have to pay for it in the near future.

I know there are different thoughts on wether PN email was free etc ? 

But when i signed up years ago with PlusNet 

 I was given an email address,

Access to broadband ,

And landline number         all for one price as part of a package!

Me too. But I don't...

So, if that comes with the older Roundcube webmail UI, then I understand you can switch back to that via the Greenby system.

Again, something else I don't do. Especially as the newer Greenby Roundcube UI works well with my phone - which is more than can be said with the older version used by Plusnet!

I imagine, when the transfer is completed (and hopefully the Greenby system is running better), the old Plusnet webmail interface will eventually be removed.

I only use a desktop , no phones or clients etc

Like you PVMB i can only hope it does get better

I only  use the classic interface which i am used too.

We can only wait and hope

There are three UI settings available for the Greenby webmail interface. Reached via the webmail UI:

Settings --> User Interface

1. Classic - by The Roundcube Dev Team
2. Elastic - by Aleksander Machniak (the Greenby default)
3. Larry - by FLINT / Büro für Gestaltung, Switzerland
