I also use Mythic Beasts.

I picked them because of the many recommendations for them on this forum.  I've not been disappointed.

From Greenby at 04:55 AM Wednesday :

Apologies for the inconvenience you’ve experienced with your mailboxes not displaying in the portal. Please check your Greenby dashboard again now and confirm whether your mailboxes are showing correctly. If you are still experiencing any issues, please let me know and I’ll be happy to provide further assistance.

Re: Greenby down again?

Dear Phillip,

All seems to be working now - thank you

Only issue I have, after yesterday's outage, is that I cannot sent PNet emails from my Android phone using the G-Mail app. Don't use it a great deal but it has been working fine. Receiving PN emails through this G-Mail app is working with no issues.

Says something about a security certificate not being in date and therefore it causes a block on sending.

Happened once before and Plus Net updated the certificate - then all was well

Can you help please?

David

Re: Greenby down again?

From a quick look using https://www.checktls.com/TestReceiver
Plusnet hosted SMTP : relay.plus.net   has problems starting a secure connection.

Can your Android phone send via Greenby hosted SMTP server : relay.force9.net    (use the same settings and credentials)

Re: Greenby down again?

Thank you for your reply.

I have entered the force 9 details but received the following message that is stopping me entering the new details as "Done" - "Certificate not valid - the Gmail app can't guarantee the security of this email address. Your messages would be at risk"

Re: Greenby down again?

I can send via relay.force9.net using SSL/TLS via Port 465 and Certificate check
using MS Outlook on the PC & via Blue Mail on Android.

I am collecting <account>.plus.com emails via mail.plus.net again with SSL/TLS & Certificate check
and that is working for our Greenby hosted accounts.

Re: Greenby down again?

The earlier secure connection issues seen with relay.plus.net looks to be resolved now.

Re: Greenby down again?

I'm thankful I managed to resolve my seemingly intractable password problem with Greenby just before this outage began. I would probably still be tearing out what's left of my hair if I had been testing my configuration during a prolonged outage.

Re: Greenby down again?

Was that the problem of changing a password in Greanby only to discover
relay.plus.net needs a matching password change using  the Plusnet portal ?

Re: Greenby down again?

Yes. Rather than changing the passwords in account/settings I first had to delete them in Thunderbird/ [general] settings. It's the little gear icon at the bottom left of the accounts settings page and is easy to overlook.
