Greenby Email

First I've heard about any move to Greenby was today via email but only to my PN email address.

Will my personal email address that runs through PNs '.plus.com' server be migrated as well?

Re: Greenby Email

Any migration is per account - how many accounts did you have on Plusnet?

If only one, with several emails, they will all be migrated together.

Re: Greenby Email

I have my Plusnet one   @xxxxx.plus.com

And my own domain @vxxx-dxxxx.co.uk

that was originally based with FNN, then MASF, then PN. When PN send me an email I always get the email twice, once to each address. My domain is the only one I ever use and the only address everyone has.

Re: Greenby Email

Fix

@Mayfly there's two aspects to your questions

1) When PN send me an email I always get the email twice, once to each address.

PN send informatory emails e.g billing notifications to the contact address listed on the account and additionally, if the account has Plusnet email, to postmaster@<account>.plus.com ( note that accounts opened in the last two years or so dont have Plusnet email ). These emails have nothing to do with Greenby, they are purely to do with Plusnet sending notifications and will continue to be sent to those addresses.

2) And my own domain @vxxx-dxxxx.co.uk

Your domain hosted with Plusnet will migrate to Greenby at the same time as your <account>.plus.com email. Accounts with hosted domains are more complex than others and so will be the last in the schedule to be migrated. No accounts with hosted domains are in the current plus.com migration schedule. When they are finally migrated, both your plus.com and <domain> email will be handled by Greenby.

"Accounts with hosted domains are more complex than others and so will be the last in the schedule to be migrated."

I once had an 'e-mail only' (thus 'free', after Pnet ceased charging for those) account with a hosted domain. Possibly the most awkward? That was nuked (at my request) a little under two years ago.
