That is a very good question.
The empirical observations suggest that the issue is predicated on the following...
- Sending from @account.plus.com - sending from one's own hosted domain name does not seem to be an issue
- Sending using OUTLOOK - sending via webmail does not seem to present the issue
- Sending as HTML / rich text - sending as plain text does not seem to present the issue
Trying a different email client might mitigate the issue. You might want to take a look at eM Client.

Note that there is also the issue of Plusnet email servers being on block lists e.g see #696 and #703. If you happen to send an email, even to just one recipient, that is routed via a block listed server then it will be bounced. The last two posts by @Townman only address the original issue of emails being bounced due to DKIM failure. However, after several months of that, so many Plusnet emails have been rejected, that the servers sending them have acquired a bad reputation and are being blocked.
While some people are keen to point out that these troubles have only arisen because of inappropriate behaviour by Microsoft, the fact is that it is only Plusnet users who are suffering and, despite frequent requests, we never get any feedback on progress towards resolving the problems.

That statement is incorrect - the blocking should not have occurred - Microsoft (or its mail servers) should NOT be reporting the servers for blocking, if they are.

Let's not forget there are also the same problems with iCloud e-mail recipient accounts bouncing back Plusnet originated e-mails.
Where is the official update from Plusnet? This is possibly the worst example of IT service management I have ever experienced.

@ebforum I have just sent a test message to both my iCloud accounts - and received them. They were both sent together, i.e. in the same outbound message.

That is simply not true. One can see how the assertion conveniently fits an agenda that this is solely and only PlusNet's problem, but in the real world, not all wishes come true.
AWS public cloud hosting platforms are also suffering in that arena due to Microsoft's disposition ... and Microsoft have declared that they WILL NOT fix the issue. Elsewhere I am facing the necessity to completely re-platform our email hosting to elsewhere. I have no part in the decision making process, but guess where those in charge are planning to go ... Microsoft!!
One can readily see Microsoft's hidden objectives here of killing off the viability of (in comparison) the smaller email hosts in the hope that the business will go to Microsoft.

No, no, no @Townman - M$ can do no wrong - according to some, but those of us who take wider view can see exactly where they are coming from, and trying to do.

By “only Plusnet users who are suffering”, I meant not the users of the providers who are doing the blocking (i.e. Microsoft, TalkTalk, iCloud … (see post#681)), as far as I know (except of course that they are not receiving all those valuable emails from Plusnet users). However, I can see my wording was ambiguous so apologies for that.
Is your statement “Microsoft have declared that they WILL NOT fix the issue” applicable to Plusnet’s problem or is AWS being affected by a different ruse?

I have no knowledge of the disposition in respect of the DKIM failure on multiple addressees.
In respect of the AWS issue, it is not possible to send an email to a single addressee. It is related to issues with their public shared IP addresses. Microsoft has black balled them and will not relent.

avasout-ptp-004 [84.93.230.250] joins the list of servers being rejected by iCloud.

Well, if Amazon (AWS) cannot exert any influence on Microsoft, what chance does little Plusnet have?
However, on another thread (Changes to Plusnet email and domain services - Plusnet Community, new posts no longer allowed!), I asked:
Can you confirm that no Plusnet users (i.e. addresses of the form xxx@yyy.plus.com) will be moved to Greenby until the long-standing severe problem of sent emails being rejected due to DKIM failure and blocked servers has been solved?
To his credit, @James_B has responded:
Work is ongoing to ensure any existing rejection/spam related issues do not impact the migration to Greenby.
I thanked him for replying, but it seems well short of a “yes”.

I fear the shorter answer is in fact : "No".
Meaning the migration continues regardless & will not be delayed by existing rejection/spam related issues.

It took me a while to get to grips with forum and find this.
Yesterday I had several emails to a single hotmail address fail to arrive when sent from my plusnet email address (using Thunderbird) but no delivery failure of any kind. Today I discovered I could send emails to that hotmail address using a yahoo address or my personal 20i hosted email address.
I wasn't aware of the email migration to greenby (sp?). I've not received any notification of this, need to investigate.
In the meantime I managed to raise a ticket, we will see if that gets any response.....
Thanks to all of you confirming that is not just me having the issue.
Phil

Following on from my post #696, it has now got even worse. I sent an email at 3.36pm yesterday to a single hotmail address and received a mail delivery failure notification at 8.08am this morning! So, I spent yesterday afternoon thinking I’d got lucky and expecting a reply only to find that the email never arrived and now it’s too late!
Come on Plusnet @James_B, you can’t seriously be intending to plough on with the migration with this kind of service.
Please correct me if I’m wrong someone, but my understanding is that migration itself will do nothing to address these problems with Microsoft et al. so they will persist under Greenby.
