John, not daily but a weekly update detailing the overall approach being pursued and the ETA of the solution if possible.

That's the least that should be done given the severity of the problem.

@ebforum is right.   When I prompted after about a week, @James_B eventually made a service status post:

But no followup in the three weeks since then.

Regular updates are just basic PR.  Even if there is no progress to report, it would show that the problem is still on PN's radar.

John, I think you are missing the point here and being a bit flippant with your "daily" and "no news" comments. This is a serious issue and any reputable supplier, which I count Plusnet as, should keep its customers properly briefed with what is being planned, progressed etc as per my message above.

I have no interest in the technical aspects repeated in this thread, that all goes above my head. I want to hear such aspects as what is Plusnet progressing with Microsoft, is there a potential for a lessening of rejection by Microsoft and so on.

John, the idea that no updates until more information becomes available doesn't cut the mustard for me. We are all left wondering what's going on. I want to know what Plusnet is doing and the likely timeframes.

Plusnet's service delivery manager should be directly participating in this thread given the severity of the issue and providing the right messages and not those of front line service staff. Using others here as messengers is not on.

But it has. PN started setting SPF, apparently despite problems in doing so. But didn't report that.

As a result, a new problem has surfaced: that MS mysteriously does strange things with DKIM, which sometimes passes and sometimes fails. Is PN aware of this? Is anyone talking to MS about it?
