We are also suffering with instant rejection of emails to Microsoft related email accounts.
Just had rejections just now from : @msn.com and @outlook.com also @hotmail.com

I have been having similar problems for the last 2 weeks, mainly with hotmail addresses now being classed as non-existent by Plusnet. Could it be a side-effect of Plusnet no longer providing email services, which are now in the process of being moved over to Greenby? I have to send my hotmail addressed emails to a close friend, who uses bt internet and who then forwards them on with a note attached. This is not really OK though!

The issue is being investigated see Sending emails to Microsoft-owned domains such as Hotmail, Live, and MSN

Nothing to do with the migration preparation, but everything to do with Microsoft moving the goalposts and treating all email from Plusnet users as coming from a single bulk emailing service. See the service announcement.

Whilst those of us here are seeing updates, I feel concerned for those who don't use the Forum.
Perhaps Plusnet should send an e-mail to update everyone who uses Plusnet e-mail services to advise on what is going on. Regular e-mails to a user community is essential to avoid degrees of angst being built up which may ultimately harm Plusnet's reputation.

Totally agree. Let's hope something gets resolved soon.
I am not a Plusnet mail user but I am responding on behalf of an 82 year old friend of mine. I have been in the IT business for more years than I care to remember. Now retired but left a large mainframe company as Lead Technical Services Specialist. Oh, I hate Microsoft so much. 😩

I'm a customer of Plusnet.
So far I am not experiencing these problems. I migrated my e-mail elsewhere over a year ago, and no longer have a Plusnet account that is capable of having a Plusnet related e-mail.
I have in the past experienced Plusnet bouncing e-mails between their own customer accounts. Which made me a bit doubtful about the configs on Plusnet's own e-mail servers even when delivering 'in house'.. This could be a rather mash of messes?

Eureka !
I just emailed a hotmail account without bounce.
Not sure who did what.
I'd love to know.

Eureka indeed,
I've just posted to a live.com account without a bounce. Perhaps this is the beginning of the end. I'll wait until later before telling my customer.
Cheers,
Jim

Its work in progress. My testing at 2am this morning post round 2 changes verified that emails were arriving albeit into the junk folder.

I can report that there is progress. A few minutes ago a test message from my Plusnet account to an @outlook account did not bounce and it arrived in the recipients Inbox.

I've just sent a test e-mail to my hotmail.com and outlook.com accounts and there have not been any bouncebacks with the e-mails correctly appearing in both Inboxes.
I'm hoping that all is now well!

Still the same bounce back messages for us, this is from this morning:
Final-recipient: rfc822;email-address@hotmail.co.uk
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 5.7.515 Access denied, sending domain ACCOUNT.PLUS.COM doesn't meet the required authentication level. The sender's domain in the 5322.From address doesn't meet the authentication requirements defined for the sender. Strange. Your message has passed SPF but failed Dkim. Previously my bounces have passed Dkim but failed SPF.
Maybe this is one to show the PN techies who are trying to solve the problem.

Yes, that's a bit odd!
