Freenetname/madasafish - send errors using PlusNet webmail, fine via SMTP in mail client

Hi,

I'm back in to my Freenetname / Madasafish e-mail account.  Sending and receiving e-mails works fine from a mail client (iPhone/Thunderbird).

I can access my inbox etc. via PlusNet webmail, but I have an issue sending e-mails from Webmail.

In PlusNet webmail, when I send a message, it says "Message sent successfully" but I get an immediate bounceback as below (I've redacted the 'to' address, but everything else is as written):

Subject Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed permanently:

   * <redacted>

Reason: A message that you sent to the following recipient could not be delivered due to a permanent error. ** The remote server ?? responded with: ** <redacted> ??:?? This message was created automatically by mail delivery software on the server .

Reporting-MTA: dns; avasout-ptp-003 [84.93.229.123]
Received-From-MTA: dns; mail.enmail.co [91.204.208.8]
Arrival-Date: Tue, 07 Jul 2026 20:34:00 +0100

Final-recipient: rfc822; <redacted>
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 554 5.7.1 Service unavailable; Client host [84.93.230.244] blocked using b.barracudacentral.org; http://www.barracudanetworks.com/reputation/?pr=1&ip=84.93.230.244

If I use Basic Webmail (Squirrelmail), when I compose an e-mail and press send it just says:

Message not sent. Server replied:

Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable

550 <{mailbox}@{username}.plus.com> invalid address '{mailbox}@{username}.plus.com'

I've not redacted anything in the above - this is as the error message appears.

Any ideas why this isn't working?

Thanks!

Re: Freenetname/madasafish - send errors using PlusNet webmail, fine via SMTP in mail client

Client host [84.93.230.244] blocked

Address: 84.93.230.244 is Plusnet outbound email server : avasout-ptp-003.plus.net

Does this mean sending via the Plusnet outbound server avasout-ptp-003.plus. [84.93.230.244] net is blocked,
and in this case the destination was handled / rejected via Greenby's email server mail.enmail.co [91.204.208.8]  ?
