Re: Freenetname email - Incorrect password entered

@LeeMichelle Yes, if I log into Greenby.com (using [email protected]) and open Webmail from there, it takes me to webmail.enmail.co where I can see emails received before yesterday afternoon, but nothing since.

If I go to directly to webmail.greenby.com, using the username [email protected], I can see emails that have been received since then too, but not those that were sent to [email protected]

And I still can't receive anything in Outlook or work out what settings (if any) need to be changed there, so would be interested to hear from anyone who can now receive their emails in Outlook to find out what works for them.

Re: Freenetname email - Incorrect password entered

@mjh1986 I have just re-logged into the direct webmail (roundcube) and it has now updated the recent emails are there - the sent are still not there, I can only guess this is still migrating? I cannot help with Outlook as I do not use it I am on Apple mail but I haven't even got round to getting that to work as I've been faffing for hours trying to locate the webmail log in and see recent messages. What a time waster this faff is!

Re: Freenetname email - Incorrect password entered

I've now spent (wasted) almost a day trying to get my head around what is happening with this 'smooth' transition, and I'm no further forward. On Greenby I can see all the emails that have arrived since yesterday, but in a format I really don't like but seem unable t change, plus I can see three sent emails - two from yesterday to test the system, and one from 2025 (????).

I've tried to set up Thunderbird as my email client using the Greenby help settings, but that just comes up with 'unable to find server' messages. Of note the 'Help' page for setting up email clients such as Thunderbird gives a fairly simple and easy to follow set of instructions (which I can't get to work) but then if you delve down far enough into other help pages you can find totally different setting for freenetname accounts. It also doesn't help that Greenby appear to have compromised our emails by using two different formats:  [email protected], and [email protected].

What chance to we have when even they have different ideas of our address.

Of note, it appears that our address books have not been copied over, and my security programme will not scan the greenby emails.

Thank you Plusnet

Re: Freenetname email - Incorrect password entered

Greenby obviously don't like any negative vibes - all my emails since yesterdays changeover have now disappeared completely, and I on logging in again I am  told I have no mailboxes set up.

Re: Freenetname email - Incorrect password entered

I still can't receive any of my emails in Outlook.

And I have just tried to send an email (from a Gmail account) to [email protected] and received a delivery failure email to say that it doesn't exist.

So it is not fixed for me.

Re: Freenetname email - Incorrect password entered

I have received some older emails on my mobile that I am sure have come via Greenby as they are repeats of those previously received and unread where as the original first copies were all read and/or binned. Have also received some from Greenby. I have not changed any settings on mobile.

Should also say that new messages are not showing on webmail or mobile. I know there should be some as I have sent test messages.

Re: Freenetname email - Incorrect password entered

What a complete disaster of a migration!.. I was responsible for the migration of 10 million email accounts back at the turn of the millenium, in a project called 'hUUgemail'.. and the only people that knew anything about it, were the Germans, because their law required us to have a pop up box for them to confirm they wanted the near-instant delivery version (emails could take a long time to handshake between providers back then).. not a single complaint, from 10 million users across Europe, not a single known outage.

As a technical Project and programme management contractor for 30 years, I am appalled at the risk management and lack of testing that would have resolved these problems before the migrations started.

Would I be correct that one of the 'Big 5' consultancies had oversight on the project and is slippy-shouldering the responsibility to some cheap labour they contracted , whilst charging the earth for their services?
