Can you help us with this.
I have no option to even create an alias of my original email address - I only have the option to Change Password.

@fairmaiden - I too can't create an alias, and only have the option to Change Password. So I can't help you, and hope that someone can help both of us!

I think the problem may be that my Alias is listed under All Mailboxes
BUT
my "real" email is listed under Email Domains
Does this apply to anyone else out there???
So, it won't let me delete the Alias because it thinks there is no original email address????

I've now got access to a test freenetname account and I can confirm the ability to add aliases is missing. I've brought it to the attention of the relevant people. I'll post back when I get a response.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Like everyone else on this (and some others) I too have discovered I have been migrated to Greenby hence the password problems. Unfortunately I knew nothing about it, as the email informing me of the migration was sent to me the day after I went away and was only able to receive my gmail account (I have now discovered it)
I can see my freenetname emails on Greenby, but can't access them through Thunderbird.

Same for me now. Earlier today I could access my Globalnet email without any problems, although I couldn't do anything inside the Greenby account while I was logged in as I just got the message "access denied" to everything, eg. settings.
As of now I can't login to my email from my email clients any more, but the Greenby account will now let me into the settings. I've tried changing the server settings as shown on the Greenby site and that doesn't work either. I'm just getting "authentication failed". Having to use Greenby's webmail all the time isn't a useful option, especially from my phone! How can this be such a mess?

I am also having problems. I can access the Greenby email for my account but other than those received up to Greenby taking over with their two messages nothing else seems to be getting received. Also can not login using Thunderbird or mobile apps. Anyone got any ideas please?

Firstly, communication has been dire, it looks like you are migrating to Greenby, as others have said, to access your emails initially at least, you need to log in by using [email protected], or I think whichever your with eg. madasafish, plusnet etc.
I had to use my Webmail to enable this.

I am an old freenetname customer too, I've never received an email from Greenby, same as others the email went down yesterday, I cannot log into plusnet webmail - just get errors, I tried the Greenby and login fails - logging in as ********@freenetname.co.uk.
If Greenby send me an email I am not going to receive it as I cannot view any of my emails. Any advice from anyone in the know like others would appreciated it.

Hello @LeeMichelle - I am in the same position as you.
I have raised a ticket on Greenby, received an automated reply saying that they were transferring me to an agent shortly, and I have heard nothing since.
I cannot receive any email on my Outlook client.
However, I can receive some email by going to webmail.greenby.com and then entering my email address as [email protected] (which is obviously wrong but that is what I seem to have been set up as by Greenby) and using my usual password. Select Plusnet underneath the password box from the dropdown. However, this enables me to see only email sent to my domain-based email address that Freenetname set me up with originally; I cannot see any email that has been sent to [email protected] since yesterday.

I think you may need to try this link:
- Enter Details: Input your username and select your provider (Plusnet).
- Receive Code: Greenby will send a 6-figure verification code via email or to your registered mobile phone number.
- Set New Password: Enter the code to create and confirm your new password.
I think this is how I did it to initially get in.

In fact, when I send an email (from a Gmail account) to [email protected], I received a delivery failure message from enmail.co saying that [email protected] doesn't exist!
This migration has evidently not been done properly and is causing me (and others by the looks of it) a lot of hassle, and there doesn't appear to be any communication from Greenby about how or when they are going to resolve it.

@fairmaiden I tried this but I cannot receive the code as I cannot get into my email and no text I have no idea if my mobile number was in the account. I seem to be stuck. I have never received a direct communication from Greenby but if they do send an email I won't receive it because I cannot access the emails.

@mjh1986 Update us if you hear back from Greenby. I have never had a communication from them, I cannot access my email from plus net or by logging into their web mail, I have tried the link posted on here that sends a code, but I cannot get the code as I cannot access the emails. I seem to be stuck in a loop of email doom right now. And this migration has wasted a lot of peoples time trying to work out what is going on.
Every door appears to be shut my end I cannot access anything.....

***UPDATE: I found yet another log in page on Greenby's website I have not seen before and I have successfully managed to log in. I can view my emails but any sent from around 4.30pm yesterday are not there......? Also 'Sent emails' none there either. Anyone else have this too? Maybe these will appear after things settle down?
I have not even attempted to set this up on my laptop yet (I am an Apple Mail user). as I have have pretty much wasted the last few hours trying to resolve this issue. I need to step back for a little while to preserve my own sanity. But would be interested to know if anyone else has the same problem with the missing emails......
