I am in the process of opposing a massive solar farm project in Lincolnshire and have recently registered for a 'Preliminary Meeting' about the matter. However, I have twice been called by officers from the Planning Inspectorate (PI) to let me know that their emails to me keep getting rejected. I have had no problem with other emails from .gov.uk - tax, MOT, etc. - including ones from ni.mail.distribution@notifications.service.gov.uk which confirmed my initial registration with the PI, but now one has to email Springwellsolarfarm@planninginspectorate.gov.uk. They arrive OK - hence the telephone call, but sending back from there does not work. I feel it must be a problem at the PI end and they have said they will check with their IT dept, but is there anything I or Plusnet can do to make sure these official emails arrive?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

First see if their IT dept come back with anything (probably unlikely🙄)
Then Check your Spam settings in the member centre, if you have 'Discard obvious spam' enabled , then try disabling it and getting them to resend an email. If that doesnt help, then their IT dept will need to talk to Plusnet customer support who SHOULD request that they provide the 'bounce' message. They will then request NetOPS to review the bounce to see what the problem may be. It could possibly be a false positive from the Cloudmark antispam system caused by URL links in the email.

TY, MisterW.
When you say "Check your Spam settings in the member centre, ..." where do I do that? I have checked my settings in webmail.plus.net and can't see the 'Discard obvious spam' option.

@NoctonR sign in to the member centre at https://www.plus.net/member-centre/login , then go to 'Manage account' and click the link 'Manage your Plusnet mailboxes' at the bottom of the page, click the Spam tab and you should see the various options
Once you've got Discard obvious spam disabled , it might help to add the sender to your whitelist ( also on the Spam settings page )

TY, I've done that. I have also added the domain name to my list of approved senders.
So after waiting at least 30 mins for the settings to be changed, I'll send another email to @planninginspectorate.gov.uk and report back if any result.

Do the headers give any indication of why it is being marked as spam ? There's usually some clues in there

There is a lot of, to me, gobbledegook with spam or antispam mentioned, but nothing that makes sense to me.
I do notice that under 'X-pm-pstn-db' the emails are given as "Spam 1", whereas not spammed emails have "Spam 99"

Post one of the headers with any personal info e.g actual email addresses redacted and I'll have a look or if you dont want to post it publicly then send me a PM
