Email not sending - certificate not valid?

yesterday

Just found email is not sending from my phone. I normally use Outlook for Android - settings there can't be viewed or edited once set! - but still have an account on Gmail (where I can see/edit settings.) Both apps are receiving, neither are sending.
Outgoing settings are relay.plus.net, port 465, SSL/TLS, sign in required and password entered.
What's wrong?
