I was picking up Plusnet emails earlier today, both on my phone and computer, but this evening I'm getting the message on my computer that includes the information that "The server returned the error: The attempt to read data from the server “mail.plus.net” failed."
I've tried webmail from a couple of different browsers but that's not working either.
Anyone else having problems with this today?
As far as I'm aware my email hasn't been migrated to Greenby

Yes, I am seeing it too. Will attempt some user diagnostics.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

From what I can tell, imap.plus.net is not servicing logons for not yet migrated accounts.
cURL diagnostics to imap.plus.net (which routes via the proxy on ...
- a migrated account connect successfully
- a not migrated account fail with ...
< * BAD internal server error * schannel: server close notification received (close_notify) * response reading failed (errno: 0) * closing connection #0 curl: (56) response reading failed (errno: 0) - a not migrated account with forced connection to 212.159.8.86 fails with ...
< A002 NO Login failed. * closing connection #0 curl: (67) Login denied
I would conclude that the issue is with Plusnet's IMAP servers which will means some users see issues where others do not.
POP3 fails akin to the above, authentication is failing when attempting to connect via the proxy and direct, but the failure messages are different...
* schannel: server closed abruptly (missing close_notify)
* closing connection #0
curl: (56) schannel: server closed abruptly (missing close_notify)* server response timeout
* closing connection #0
curl: (28) server response timeout
The latter (direct to the POP3 LB) reported capability, logonID + password before the above failure.

Thanks for looking into this and hope it will be fixed soon.
BTW, the last Plusnet email to get through was before 3.00pm.
Unfortunately my husband's and my joint address is one of those we're not being able to access and we often get important emails coming through to it.

Hi Neil here.
I'm wondering if this is connected to my problem below.
For info my email is via Globalnet.
Only problem I have been having since yesterday afternoon/evening is that on my smartphone (via gmail) keeps asking me to enter my credentials. I've not changed any settings recently for incoming or outgoing mail and the settings seem normal to me. how ever it keeps saying i am entering the wrong username (always my email address) and/or incorrect password (always use the same one).
Has something changed recently for Android settings? I'm using the last info that was pushed out in 2025? If so could someone signpost me to were the info on settings might be?
I think i may have had something similar happen a year or two ago but cant remember how i sorted, or if it sorted itself out.
With regards logging into webmail from my phone and laptop everything is normal.....so i do have access to me emails via webmail whilst i am on the go with my phone.
Main problem is I cant use my email via gmail on my phone.

I am using an @ic24.net address and have not yet been migrated to Greenby.
Have tried accessing using Webmail via Web Browser and the Mail app on my phone. Unable to login at either.
