Email I sent being received multiple times by recipient

A recipient of an email that I sent is complaining that the email keeps getting repeatedly delivered to them.
They think the problem is at my end as they don't have this issue with anyone else.
I am wondering if their receiving server is not sending an acknowledgement of the delivery and therefore the PN server keeps resending it.
Does anyone have any suggestions about this and how I might get it resolved?

Although I'm not sure they will be knowledgeable enough to do this, but I'll try and talk them through it.

Is there any possibility that Plusnet's sending email server is behaving in the same manner as the third-party server described here https://community.plus.net/t5/Email/Duplicate-email-Plusnet-MX-issue/m-p/1887347#M40737 ?
Certainly, sounds similar, albeit in this case its Plusnet doing the sending ... rather than Plusnet receiving multiple copies.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Unfortunately had no further update from the recipient, so I can only assume that whatever the issue was, it has now gone away again 🙄.
