Don't understand what has happened to aliases with switch to Greenby

When I joined PN in 2008 , I had an email address set up of "christian name" @ ..........

Shortly afterwards ,I had an email from PN telling me that postmaster@ ..... was also set up.

I then added aliases as "wife's christian name" @  ....., and "nickname" @ .........

Now the only emails arriving in my Thunderbird Inbox are to the original email.

IF I want these in future ,have I got to set them up separately with Greenby ?

Can't log in to Greenby webmail at the moment anyway using any of the above addresses!

For our account email Alias were migrated from Plusnet to Greenby.

I could see them at Greenby Portal >>> Email

@davidj66

I have emailed my Greenby mail account successfully using postmaster@<plusnet address> as well as <email name>@<plusnet address>. But only the full <email name>@<plusnet address> as username allows direct logon to Greenby webmail site. Neither <plusnet username> nor postmaster@<plusnet address> will work for the webmail login username.

Re: Don't understand what has happened to aliases with switch to Greenby

Well I've logged in now - but only by chance because I tried "my account name"@ ...........plus.com -never had that as an email addy.

But this opens a page saying "Welcome xxx xxx" and that asks for all sorts of info. eg  postal address etc BEFORE it'll show emails, so I've closed the page!

Shouldn't this stuff have gone across from PN automatically ?

Using :  Greenby Portal >>> Team >>> Details & Users

This is where I entered my full name and address,
the address info supplied is displayed on the Invoice.

That's the Greenby hub logon page (Greenby.com) - asking for account setup details at first login. I guess by logging in and confirming your details you have legally agreed to Greenby's contract terms.

You can access Greenby email via that site or directly by the Greenby Webmail site.

Re: Don't understand what has happened to aliases with switch to Greenby

Tried logging in this morning - worked OK ,miracle of miracles ! Not faced with the demand for information this time - straight to inbox -also sending emails to all aliases has worked.

HOWEVER , I'm now certain that it's not worth paying for this "service" in the future - BT are certainly achieving their objective of  downgrading PN and it's addons to the point where almost everyone will migrate away and then they can close PN down and save the money!

I have 13 months left on my contract - unless they make me a stunning offer ,I think I'll be moving my broadband.
