Deleted emails

Can somebody please help?  I received an email saying that my inbox was reaching its limit, so I started to delete some emails.  This was going to take ages so I then clicked all and deleted them all, not realizing that by deleting from the webmail they would be deleted out of my outlook on my PC.  I have now lost all of the emails as the deleted items was also emptied.  Is there any way of recovering these?  I saw a post a couple of years ago where somebody had done the same and managed to get them back.

Re: Deleted emails

@Kitbit

To attract the attention of another user you need to type @ then start typing their name. After the first 3 characters a drop down list appears from which, if necessary, you can zone in on users by typing further characters before selecting the particular member.

Superusers are fellow customers, to get a definitive reply and action, should it still be possible, you need to wait until a Plusnet staffer comes along.

Have you emptied the 'Deleted' emails box?

I fear that you may have discovered the hard way, the folly of using an IMAP account without either printing or downloading and storing a back up copy of important emails.

Re: Deleted emails

Hi there,

Sorry to see what's happened, but I'm afraid we won't be able to recover those emails for you as we wouldn't have them anymore in the temporary backups we keep.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Deleted emails

The deleted items folder is your best hope.

@Gandalf is there no chance of getting something back from a recent backup?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Deleted emails

They've said the deleted items folder was emptied, and I'm afraid we only keep temporary backups for 7 days.
