After the posts last week about totalise e-mails, to which I added comments, it appeared that my problem with my care4free e-mails had been solved - I receive e-mails OK, but cannot send, whether using webmail, Thunderbird or Bluemail. However, the issue has reappeared and I get the same error message as shown - this is getting serious - help, please!
Fixed! Go to the fix.

It's now been nearly two weeks since I've been able to send e-mails on my care4free.net account. Is there any hope of a solution?

There is always hope, but a known time line is not the same.
The issue is that there appears to be a multitude of bad actors abusing the Plusnet email services, which has impacted the reputation of the sending domains.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I am more confused! If I try and send e-mails via Thunderbird on my smaller laptop or via Bluemail on my phone, I still get the same error message about the address being blacklisted. However, if I send on my other computer using an old Live Mail account, or via webmail, it works as it should.
After a fortnight, I need to be back to normal!

These tiny details are useful.
Sending via webmail rules out a lot of possible issues.
Sending via old Live Mail points to other considerations. Can you please inspect the SMTP settings on there and confirm the details...
- Server name
- Port number
- Encryption
- Authentication - none or email address
Do not change anything, just look and cancel.
Can you please try running the server connection diagnostics - link below.

Outgoing Server port 25
'My server requires authentication' is ticked, but no details
Not sure this helps!
However, I, and all the other users who appear to be in problems with old e-mail addresses, have done nothing - it is Plusnet who have changed something that has stopped their service working and they need to come up with their solution to retain any credibility.
