Cannot receive email on Samsung Monte

Me again with another problem I'm afraid.
I have now set up the email account on the phone. I successfull sent an email to another family member's account on our PC, but when he replied to me it didn't arrive on the phone, only onto my account on the PC. 
Should I perhaps be setting the incoming mail to IMAP instead of POP?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions here.

Yes, you'd need to use IMAP if you want to view the same e-mails on your PC and the phone.
When using POP to do this the each message is downloaded to the first machine you downloaded your mail to.

... unless you have set the POP option to leave the emails on the server for a number of days (has to be set on both PC and phone).
IMAP is generally better if you are going to use two devices. Emails read on one device will show up as already read on the other. Emails sent from one device will appear in the sent items on the other. Be careful about one thing: emails deleted from you phone will also be deleted from your PC!

Thanks for replies.
Still not working. Emails sent to me still not arriving on phone, only on PC. I've set IMAP on the phone for incoming mail. Do I need to set it on PC as well? Sorry if this is an obvious question. I'm a bit clueless on all this.
