It seems as though Outlook has issues with PlusNet.

Thanks,

Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [84.93.230.227] weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3150).

This occurred when sending via Plusnet SMTP : relay,plus.net or possibly via Plusnet webmail

if your email has migrated to Greenby try using Greenby SMTP relay.force9.net in place of : relay.plus.net
or try sending via Greenby webmail : https://webmail.greenby.com

Re: Bouncing email ...

You’re probably ahead of me with this, using your own custom email domain through PlusNet and all. A quick DNS MX record check says there’s no DMARC policy published for that domain, which is one signal that Outlook/Microsoft would use to be circumspect, but which would be more likely to end up in the suspected spam folder, not blocked entirely.

The reason for refusal given by Outlook/Microsoft to Greenby/PlusNet is “…part of their network is on our block list..” but they’re not saying which part.

Perhaps check the Greenby/PlusNet guidance on custom domains for DMARC as a starting point? As the Greenby domain is already included in the custom domain’s SPF records, I assume that’s already up to date. But maybe check that too. But if the real reason is that Microsoft has fallen out with all of the custom managed domains through Greenby, then it might be resolved in hours or days.

Re: Bouncing email ...

The blocked server is Plusnet hosted : avasout-ptp-001.plus.net  [84.93.230.227]

This email was not dispatched via a Greenby server.

The reply #2 from @PhilipHeyes is better than mine (3). When I posted mine, his better reply was not visible to me… I should have refreshed first…)

Re: Bouncing email ...

Possibilities:

1. avasout-ptp-001.plus.net not secure and being used to send Spam via SMTP. (Would have thought this unlikely by now).
2. Genuine Plusnet users sending out Spam via their account.
3. Plusnet users' account information compromised and stolen credentials used to send Spam via PN host.
4. Plusnet users' PC's compromised and installed Bots sending Spam.

DNSBL Removal Request (anonmails.de)

"The IP address will be removed soon."

We shall see! 😉
