Hi @Katie_B , @Peter_JW , @Christopher_G ,
Could you let me know the latest on this as I am still unable to send email and as mentioned this does not look like someone has compromised my account but that someone is spoofing my emails and I have not been able to send emails for a month now.
Thanks,
Andy

Hi @Katie_B just following up here as it has been over a month that I have not been able to send email from my account and I am not quite sure what is taking PlusNet to long to resolve this. Thanks.

WRT The current rejected Plusnet/Greenby email issues I've just conducted a little email experiment. Trouble is, there are likely too many variables, so I am unsure of the results.
A while ago, on learning of the difficulties people were having sending emails to Gmail users I sent three separate emails to people I know personally who are on Gmail.
The format was:
To: <Gmail email address>
Subject: Just a Hello!
From: My Plusnet email address, sent via Greenby webmail
All three emails were returned undelivered by Gmail as "Likely unsolicited email" - i.e. Possible Spam
Subsequently (as I mentioned on a forum post, possibly ambiguously?), I posted an email to 'Mr Google' setting out the general problem. Have not yet had any reply (unsurprisingly), but at least it wasn't bounced!
Today, I once again sent substantially the same message to one of my Gmail friends, but with an altered Subject: "Hi <real name>". So far it has not bounced. I then resent the same message to the same Gmail user, with the original Subject: "Just a Hello!"
So far, these two recent messages have not been bounced - I have yet to receive any confirmation they have been received.
Of course, another possible variable, is what conversations BT and Plusnet may have been having with Google behind the scenes.
I also used Spamhaus to check out Plusnet and Greenby domains:
SPAMHAUS
"plusnet.com has no issues"
"greenby.com has no issues"
"mail.enmail.co has no issues"
"relay.plus.net has no issues"
Hah!

...Spoke too soon! Now, the first email - Subject: Hi <real name> - has just been returned, rejected by Google:
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 421-4.7.28 Gmail has detected an unusual rate of mail originating from your SPF 421-4.7.28 domain [<Plusnet username>.plus.com 35]. To protect our users from spam, 421-4.7.28 mail sent from your domain has been temporarily rate limited. For 421-4.7.28 more information, go to 421-4.7.28
https://support.google.com/mail/?p=UnsolicitedRateLimitError to 421 4.7.28
review our Bulk Email Senders Guidelines.

This is getting silly now: "Gmail has detected an unusual rate of mail originating from your SPF 421-4.7.28 domain [<Plusnet username>.plus.com 35]"
So I looked up my domain on Spamhaus:
"<Plusnet Username>.plus.com has no issues"
So, Google's reason is simply spurious - an error - or something unknown is going on.

My wife replied to a live.co.uk address about an hour ago, it bounced!
With luck and a fair wind we will be rid of this Plusnet/Greenby debacle by tomorrow, having moved our domain, website & mail to another provider.
Good Luck to all you remainers. ![]()

The second email of the two I sent to a Gmail recipient today (the one most similar by subject to the email originally bounced last week or so) has still NOT been returned.
What IS going on?
