Airmail Email Settings - Mac Application

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has the settings for the Mac Email application called Airmail.
Cheers,
Rick.

Re: Airmail Email Settings - Mac Application

That's correct - I have tried various permutations but with not much luck.

Re: Airmail Email Settings - Mac Application

Can you upload a screengrab of an empty settings dialogue? That way we should be able to tell you what should go where.

Re: Airmail Email Settings - Mac Application

I have screen grabbed the following 4  pictures showing the differing options in the drop down menu.

Re: Airmail Email Settings - Mac Application

Based on those screenshots, I'd suggest the following:
Service: IMAP
Username: lobomorell
Incoming server: imap.plus.net
PLAIN: <your_plusnet_account_password>
Port: 143
Sending server: relay.plus.net
Port: 587 (or 25)
Authentication: <ticked>
Username: lobomorell
PLAIN: <your_plusnet_account_password>

If the port setting doesn't allow you to specify a manual value, then try auto (the default ports for plain IMAP and SMTP are 143 and 25 respectively anyway).
Edit: it looks like your broadband service isn't active yet? This may cause problems when trying to send emails from the account.

Re: Airmail Email Settings - Mac Application

Awesome - works a treat, although I had to untick the authentication box and all is good!

Yeah waiting for my MAC code - this would explain why I get error messages on my iOS device saying email cannot be sent through my plusnet email as of yet.
