Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

I was migrated on 16Dec but still have my Address Book missing on Greenby

I managed to find all my folders,  but the Deleted Items folder is not there now, how do i fully delete on exit

I set everything up exactly like the old PN site which as a basic user i was very comfortable with, personally i feel

the move has gone backwards I now have to do three page clicks just to get to my email page.

Its my ADDRESS BOOK missing i am worried about

If i log in to old PN Webmail my Address Book is still there

Any help please

Kenm

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Kenm

I was migrated on the 17th December and like you all the email bits seem to be working but no address book. Also like you I logged back on the old Plusnet site and all the address book details are there. Maybe the migration is still going, but just in case I have raised a ticket with greenby notifying them of the discrepancy. I'll let you know what they say. I also and very worried about the possible loss of my address book as I rely on it when sending emails. It was oh so easy with Plusnet wasn't it?

I reread all these changes which are going on.

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Newemail

Yes i had to raise a ticket with Greenby still showing  "in progress"

I am not very confident to attempt to move address book myself, things go wrong whenever I try

dont want to loose them all

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Kenm

My ticket also shows in progress. One change on the webmail, I now have a Contacts column when I press the "profiles" button on the left of the page. I didn't have that before. However it just says empty and there is a create option plus other buttons I don't understand, so like you I am not doing anything.

Will tell you if I get any progress.

I'm sure others have the same problem, it would be nice to hear from them.

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Newemail

I am still in progress

Went into tickets today to try and push my ticket as addresses needed so i can send email ,

but it appears technical issue if i try to update ticket

Told to update ticket by clicking it, but that just takes me back to AI chat, but someone will contact me 😀

I put this message on this Forum hoping i might get some help, always have in the past.

Get the feeling that Plusnet just wanted rid FULL STOP , been with them nearly 14yrs contract ending in 6 months

Maybe get someone in to assist me ( not techy) and start anew Email & Broadband  I have no objecting to paying for a good email service and our village is starting to get full fibre bb,  just the hassle worries me,

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Kenm

Yes, still in progress.

I can still get on the old Plusnet site which is still operating and the Contacts are all there still.

All very frustrating. Back in July of this year you and I and a lot of others lost our address book contacts (I went under the name Newb then) and a Plusnet guy named Dave Tomlinson sorted the problem out.

I'm doing a handwritten copy of some of the more important addresses from the Plusnet site just in case.

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

@newemail Rather than handwriting copies, if you can 'print' the page to a PDF file you would have an easily displayable file (that could also by physically printed) to refer to. Depending on what browser/device you are using, it may be as simple as selecting Print, then Print To PDF, and giving the file a name and location to save it.

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Mavison

Yes I can print a copy of all the names of people in the address book easily but with Plusnet I have to select the individuals name to get their actual email address. There is no way I can find to print a complete list of actual email addresses. If I am missing something please let me know. Thanks for your interest.

Have you been migrated yet, If so have you got your complete contacts list. That being the actual reason for Kenm and my original posts.

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

@newemail Aaaah sorry - I had not realised they were on lots of pages. I did PDF my aliases, but they were all on one page! I use a client not webmail, so had no contacts in webmail when I was migrated.

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

newemail  I have just opened a new ticket on Greenby asking why ticket no's 2 xxx was still only in progress after 72 hours

got usual AI message that was unexceptable and I would be contacted , I said when, answer was NOW so i said OK

then got message nobody available BUT my new ticket is showing as " awaiting reply "

Been looking into info about how Exporting & Importing the address book works

Just a bit worried about losing it completely

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Kenm

Still in progress.

I have also googled importing and exporting address book from Plusnet to greenby but it's too complicated and will probably go wrong for me and cause more problems than I have at present.

So I have, as I said, made handwritten copies of the important addresses from the Plusnet site. If the ticket route fails I will try to enter them manually on the greenby site.

Until then I am waiting patiently for an outcome from the ticket route.

Like you I was hoping for someone from Plusnet to give us some help as they always have in the past but no such luck.

Keep me posted on any progress.

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Kenm

On Plusnet I used to be able to add new addresses to my address book by tapping on the profile of image of their emails. A message then came up to confirm that the address had been added or it already was in the address book.

Even that doesn't work on this greenby site.

Between Plusnet and greenby they definitely haven't migrated the contacts and I suspect other aspects are screwed up.

Anyone else suffering this problem?????? Or had their tickets resolved???????

Mine is now 5 days old and counting.

Re: Address Book/Contacts missing on Greenby

Hi Kenm

Reference my last reply I can now enter email addresses into my address book. Instead of tapping on the profile of existing emails in their folders I tap on the actual name and a prompt comes with add to address book and it works.

Once it's in the address book I can use it to send an email.

Small steps possible ways around the problem.
