Just happened to moi, when I tried to thank Joanne on another thread.
Was regularly happening a few days ago as well..took 12 hours to respond on a forum.

It just happened again....twice.
I was pointing out the dire launch figures for Celebrity Big Brother and composing my thoughts live when I went to submit I got the 'time out' message.
I thought it may have been because of the time I took preparing my message so I clicked 'FORUMS', went to the appropriate thread, pasted my message and hit 'SUBMIT'
Got timed out again....the 3rd time it uploaded immediately.

That would be the automatic censoring system on the Forum trying to stop any more posts about Big Brother

I've been having Forum page timeout problems for the last two days both viewing and posting forum pages.
I have NOT had the timeout messages the others have seen, but instead pages that refuse to load, taking a minute of more to respond, or requiring multiple browser "Refesh"es to continue.
This is ONLY occurring on this Plusnet Forum pages, as all other websites are working normally for me !

It's at it aagin have attempted to modify a message on the Big Brother Sponsorship thread more than 10 times today without success, don't seem able to upload new messages either.
The other day I attempted to upload a message and got timed out....I returned today to try again and upload it and there it was already!!
