Writing / editing posts on phone messes with HTML special characters

I have noticed that posts written / edited on my iPhone using ampersands can result in the HTML code for ampersands appearing as text.

I'm not completely clear exactly what happens so I'll post illustrations below.

This post was a copied and pasted then I edited after it was posted...

Ampersand A&B

Less than 1<2

Greater than 3>1

On opening this for editing the special characters display as their HTLM codes.

...and when the edited version is posted, the HTML codes are not post edit processed to return them to their character variants, yet if I put the right characters here as text to tag Jack @jaread83 something in the back ground foes done smart magic ... though I know if I edit this post that magic disappears in a puff of smoke.

Lithium really ought to be doing much better here - especially given their "industry leader" reputation!
