Just checked, there are 5 replies now and the number is fine.

It might be possible that a draft was saved while user was composing a message in the thread and it counted it... or it could be that a message was posted and it was being checked against the spam filter before being released... not entirely sure what happened there tbh.

Thanks @jaread83, both of your suggestions make sense, but it could (and will) be argued that the data source used in the gray banner is wrong. If it did count a draft then what if that draft is abandoned? I assume the count would reset later but it still doesn't avoid confusion like this. The same logic applies to the spam filter option as it may not get through it!

If anything the count value should be taken from the valid replies only.
