Post editing

Can you not quote a particular post you want to reply to in a thread or even edit your own thread/post on these forums.

Re: Post editing

Yes you can (there's quote option in the edit dialogue) as above but it is against forum rules ( sort that out mods)

If you want to edit your work click the post options box

Moderator's note by Mike (Mav): Full quote of preceding post removed as per Forum rules.

Re: Post editing

There is a time limit on editing - may be 24 hours but I can't remember

Regarding quoting - if you click on reply under the post you wish to quote the option works

Re: Post editing

Fix

Click the Reply button in the post you wish to quote then you can click the Quote button.

It's only quoting the full previous post that is against the forum rules as in Peter's example above (unless the full quote is at the top of a new page).

I think there is a time limit of 24 hours in which a post can be edited.
