Re: Plusnet Forum "Connection reset by peer" error

Don't think so. Had you not seen http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,103382.msg1053872.html#msg1053872 ?
Isn't community hosted in Sheffield (mbs is in London)?

Re: Plusnet Forum "Connection reset by peer" error

This error didn't happen too frequently over the Christmas break,
but since the new year it now happens so often that it is becoming a real nuisance !  Angry
Is Chris Coates still looking into the causes of this error ?

Re: Plusnet Forum "Connection reset by peer" error

This error has occurred so frequently today that it has made navigating this forum infuriating !  Angry
At times it has been failing perhaps three out of every five clicks on links  :'(,  when it is normally < 3% of clicks.

No other website is giving me this problem (other than Plusnet's http://www.mybroadbandspeed.co.uk/).  Roll_eyes

Re: Plusnet Forum "Connection reset by peer" error

I think the problem is mostly unnoticed unless you are running behind a transparent proxy (Like Purleigh is using) or using a browser like Opera which does proxying.    Or uploading a file perhaps!

Re: Plusnet Forum "Connection reset by peer" error

To replicate:
Go to a list of posts (a forum index)
Run down the list and middle click each link as quickly as possible.
The last few will fail.

Re: Plusnet Forum "Connection reset by peer" error

You might notice more problems if you check your firewall logs, or possibly watch all the duplicate ACKs etc. in wireshark.
