Copy/paste image from Excel to this forum

I've got a graph ('chart' in Excel terminology) that I wish to insert to a message to this forum.
I don't want to upload it to some other site first.
I don't even want to save it as a file.
I've simply copied it to the clipboard, but I don't seem to be able to paste it into the forum message.
I've seen other messages that seem to have achieved what I'm after.
How's it done?  Am I missing something here?

Save the image to your PC then click the 'Additional Options and Attachments' link where you compose your (this) message, hit the browse button, select the image and Post the message.

you can't do what you want, you'll need to save it as a file.

OK, I've done that, but it doesn't appear when I do a preview.
I don't want to post it without seeing what it looks like in the preview.

You don't see it in preview
However after posting you can select edit (not quick edit) and additional options again and you can remove it

Thanks for that, Oldjim.
I take it when you say "select edit", you mean hit the "Modify" button?

Re: Copy/paste image from Excel to this forum

Right, I've done as you suggested, Oldjim,  and the results are here:http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,133718.0.html.
I would quite like to blow up the picture a bit, and move it from the message footer into the middle of the text.  Is that possible?

Re: Copy/paste image from Excel to this forum

Only by posting it on a website somewhere and using a link
However clicking on the image makes it larger and easily readable

Re: Copy/paste image from Excel to this forum

Just stumbled across this old post and there's a way to do it (if you don't mind having the thumbnail as an attachment as well as the full image in the post).
1. Post the image as an attachment
2. Then view the post and click on the attachment - grab the URL of the attached image which will be something like http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=133718.0;attach=53342;image
3. Edit the post and insert the image.
From the OP's posts he'd have got this:

Re: Copy/paste image from Excel to this forum

Thanks for that tip, hadn't ever thought of that for an original post of my own, have done similar iirc with an image grabbed from another post. Wink
