Re: Peak time latency spikes

How do you tell which gateway you are on? Sure I have seen it somewhere but I think I just clicked on all the obvious icons in my  account and could not see it  Sad

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Thanks Kelly. No wonder I couldn't find it lol  Crazy
Edit to add: appears I am on pcl-ag02 and probably have been for last 10 days as according to my router it has an uptime of 250 hours on WAN2 PPPoE

Noisy?

Sudden increase in latency with increased spikes & my speed dropped fro 45 down to between 5 & 10!!! After an internal reboot I'm now on ptn-ag01 & things are back to normal. You can clearly see the "hump" in the green while I was on pcl-ag01.

Gus:  We've got a device having trouble again on your gateway.  PCL-AG07/08.   Someone is looking at it now.

I'm on PCL-AG06 and considering I've hardly been using my connection (until now), my latency/packet loss didn't look clever earlier Sad

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Gateway ptn-ag04 attached.
The thin spikes before 8pm are specific to problems on my line only.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

have to be honest I'm not loving pcl-ag07.  Just had a very troubled Skype conversation and pingtest showed me why:

Re: Peak time latency spikes

...and the tracert test to bbc.co.uk.  The symmetry is rather spoiled by line twelve but otherwise the best you can say about it is that it's very consistent Sad

Re: Peak time latency spikes

...and finally, when I try to run the BT speedtest I get this:
"The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider."
I can bring up web pages, by the way.  Any ideas what's going on?  TBB attached which if I'm honest doesn't look too bad, so at a loss to explain why the other results are so shocking Huh

stuttering audio.  Banner appeared at the bottom of the screen advising to switch off video due to poor connection.

This is dreadful, I manage to get on a good gateway and it soon becomes a nightmare..

I think I'll be making more use of my backup BT connection.
