Re: Peak time latency spikes

Hi, I have been experiencing severe slowdown and latency increase during peak times, especially the evenings.  I guess I am part of the customer base who is still affected by the problem.
My normal speed is around 6mb, this has gone down to around 2mb with a large increase in ping time too.
I've been noticing this issue for the last few days.

Anyone have any advice for me?
How do I know what gateway I'm on?  I'm using the Billion 7800n router.  All I get from stats is 195.166.128.183.

Thanks.

My speedtest result is:

Re: Peak time latency spikes

my connection seems to have gone back to normal both speed and ping as last post and seems stable,
Just a thought as my problems are between 8 and 10pm it's like a speed restriction on my line like in Fibre plus has for torrents
Chris do you need any more results from me if not I'll bid you all good night

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Now on pcl-ag01:

Slight improvement but that's probably more down to the fact that it's after 10pm. By 11.30pm I'll be back up to 74mb.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

bifkin - Try seeing if you can get on to a non PCL gateway to see if you speeds return to normal.

Hi,
I'm offski for tonight, we've got all the information from tonight, it looks like some of the things we've tried haven't worked and we're still waiting to see if any of them have been successful. We'll keep you updated.
