Well thanks for that guys.
The BT speed tester shows my IP profile is 3mb!!!!  I've not had problems with my line for weeks now, and I can see no reason why my profile was lowered.
Any thoughts?

I've checked your line and there's a mismatch on your profile causing your speeds to be reduced. I'll get raised and resolved ASAP, won't get an update until tomorrow. I'll pop a ticket on your account so you can track the progress.

Englishrick:  I know yiour speeds are slow, but how is it performing?   Is anything laggy?  Iplayer work ok?

Web pages are a little stuttery, speedtest was a bit laggy a couple of times. Just tried Iplayer, it was a bit blocky but maybe that was the tv episode..

Hmm.  not good.
Your line looks fine.  Can you hop gateway again and try to stick on PCL?

Ok on pcl-ag02 now, speeds still nowhere near what they should be.. everything else seems fine.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Have just had a go on the net and have to say that the pcl gateways seem better, although the TBB graph still shows periods of very high latency.  I was on a ptw before my router resynced itself (down to another fault that is ongoing) and that was horribly lumpy.  The pcl gateway I'm on, pcl-ag04, is delivering a constant throughput, something I wasn't getting last night on any gateway.
So it seems better, but one night of better speeds is not conclusive, but seems to be a step in the right direction  Smiley
Test results:

Whilst the speed is good - it's the latency that kills online gaming and streaming - haven't done any of that tonight, but general browsing seems much better.
