Re: Peak time latency spikes

Hi, that was a high ping I agree, but it's only happened the once!  As you can see I'm now getting 40ms which is acceptable, a little higher than normal but not much.
My wireless signal is perfect.  The router is very close to me and I always get the full 5 bars of signal.  Never had a problem before.
Haven't tried changing channels yet....I'll give it a go just in case.
As you can see from my sync speed of 7936, my current throughput of 2.90mbps is very low!
Yes I'm on 20CN.

Is it worth bothering posting results yet ?

Weird.  I've been looking at graphs and watching the page all night (apart from the 25mins it took me to get home).
But yes, let us know what's going on.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Lots of spare capacity on that end point.    Want to try a gateway hop?

Re: Peak time latency spikes

All the PCL gateways have now had the change done but we've run out of time to make the change on PTN and PTW tonight so as above if you are having a speed issue and are on a PTN or PTW gateway please disconnect reconnect and see if you can get on a PCL gateway (there are 8 and any of them should be fine) and let us know if it makes a difference.
There will be multiple causes for the speed issues people are seeing so it's possible that some are affected by something else, be that a line problem or something else but if we can find out if this change has made any difference and then we can get the PTN/PTW gateways done tomorrow.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Changed wireless channels =   no difference.   Gone to a PCL (pcl-ag06) gateway and no difference again.  Still the same 2.90mbps speed result.  Hmmmmmmmm, this is strange....

Yes I'm on 20CN.

What's your IP profile and the current line speed on the portal?

Re: Peak time latency spikes

I could gateway hop, but what would that achieve ?.
I am happy to stay on a bad gateway to assist with adding to the results, or for you to trace/test my connection while the results are bad - IF DOING SO WOULD HELP YOU !
I'm not looking to use the internet for anything much tonight, so I'm not bothered about simply hopping to another gateway to regain connection performance.
I think YOU need to tell US what is needing to be done to help YOU focus down on problem areas.
We are waiting for YOUR instructions ! - otherwise this thread will be a random snapshot of an incoherent selection of bad results.
But if you really want a gateway hop - then please ask again and that is what I will do.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Tried to do a full BT Speedtest and test 3 failed in the same way..
Will try hopping to one of the tweaked gateways now..
