@ Rookey - Try changing gateways by disconnecting form the router admin page to see if you get any improvement.

I want to do that but I am waiting for the Tech Guys to pop along to tell me whether to stay on for them to do some check or me to do a gateway hop.  but this gateway hop a pain in the Ass... I know it easy to do but it not needed.  That speed is LOW today VERY LOW

Gateway ptn-ag04 still perfect for me here  
But I got a very dodgy result from one of the Speedtest London servers a minute earlier (missed the name of the server, but my normal Namesco one gave a good result):

13.03.2013 21:23 GMT 29.39 Mb/s 7.30 Mb/s 6 ms
Hopefully nobody else affected by that dodgy server (as it may confuse results).
