Re: Community Update - Changes are coming!

true but given that email notifications work on here I wouldn't assume a problem on the new platform given that the number of email notifications going out are only in the tens per minute at a maximum

Not really as the number of non customers (not Ex Customers) will be a lot less than the regulars on here in Chit Chat

Re: Community Update - Changes are coming!

All pages will be optimised for mobile, that normally means it will look naff on normal browsers or be made for touch screens. only have to look at the Halifax online banking site to see what happens when things are optimised for mobile.
Not all of us use mobile devices to browse the net.

Re: Community Update - Changes are coming!

That's a trick question.
As the differences are horribly clear. As has been said with the right coding the larger screen still gets used but how far and long can buttons and bars get stretched before they look plain toy town silly?
optimised for mobiles = B-upped for other devices

The Plusnet one won't look anything like that.

Which is better?

PN will use something called responsive design which is very different of what you have on those screenshots.

I think when you see it, you'll be saying something different.

Re: Community Update - Changes are coming!

Yep - that makes sense, but doesn't answer the question.  Wink . Only joking - I'm perfectly happy with the current format.

Re: Community Update - Changes are coming!

Why fix it if it isn't broken?
I bet Plusnet have oodles of things that are broken with no plans for fixing them.

Re: Community Update - Changes are coming!

Except it is broken.
Uploading images is flakey due to the server running closed to full disks 99% of the time.
Database connection errors occur during busy times.
Software is very dated and probably vulnerable to hack attempts.
Also, by out sourcing yet another component of their services they can free up the resources spent looking after it.
