Whether you're after a MAC, or want to cancel outright you'll need to speak to our Customer Options team. They're available on 0800 013 2632 or 0330 123 9197. For opening hours, please check our Contact us page.

Watch that 0330 number I was just charged for WAITING ON THE PHONE FOR SUPPORT!

NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT PN!  Undecided Angry Angry

I'm more amazed you got through and were done in 15 minutes. I gave up after 42 lastnight. And considering that's the cancellations team if you can't get through you can't cancel right?  Cheesy Crazy

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

Switching to LLU fibre doesn't require a MAC code am I right in thinking you still need to ring up to give your notice even if that LLU provider claims you don't need to if you were to move? (I still have a few months left on my contract)
Chances are i'll probably just stay as it seems a hassle to move things over. Can't say i'm happy with this increase though.

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

I got my email yesterday (although in the plusnet portal it shows as sent today  ::)) - started migration to Sky today.

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

No such things as LLU fibre. There is LLU which is ADSL2 speeds or fibre which is all provided by Openreach
Unless I am wrong?  And yes if you get a MAC you can migrate. Also the good news is that now under OFCOM rules people who migrate in are only subject to a 1 month contract. If providers do it but I would use the costs as a haggling point. After all 12/18 months for what they pay is a rip off.

Yes, I spent 26 minutes listening to pulp for a very short phone call that started with let us know what deal you got from Sky and we'll see if we can match it .. "Sorry sir, I can't match that and your Mac Key will be available in 24 to 48 hours"

You're correct there Pete.
There was (and no doubt will be in the future) an SLU (Sub Loop Unbundled) fibre service however this is what the Digital Region fibre was classed as and it's no longer available for sign up!

@theoddbot - I'm sorry to hear that we couldn't do anything for you on matching the Sky deal.

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

Apologies if I missed this one but I really can't be bothered to go back through all the pages in this thread
LRS Renewal
This goes up to the standard price of £155.88
A new LRS doesn't include any calls whereas mine includes Evening and Weekends
So what is included when I renew

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

If you're on an unlimited package and have ADSL, I think LRS includes evening calls and if you have fibre, I think LRS includes evenings + weekends.
It seems like the call package is bundled with the broadband rather than the line rental, so I assume whatever you have now would not change.

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

That isn't correct
The standard line rental does but the LRS doesn't include any calls

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

Then why is this not pointed out on the FAQs:
2. What changes are we making to line rental?
3. What changes are we making to call plan prices?
If you have to pay an extra £2 a month to get the same evening/weekend call package as before, LRS is only saving you £12 a year.

And no free calls.

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

I thought that those of us on original LRS retained E&W calls on renewal as we have done thus far.

Re: Autumn Price increase FAQ's

That is why I asked the question as I think that there were three varieties of LRS and previous changes involved us paying a higher price for LRS while retaining the extas
The varieties were
No calls
Weekend Calls
Evening and Weekend Calls
which were at different price levels have now been combined into a single price level
From the two FAQ's
The price of our £14.50 line rental packages will increase by £1.45 to £15.95 a month. and doesn't include Evening and Weekend Calls as this is £2 per month extra but probably includes weekend calls
The price of our £14.99 line rental packages will increase by £1.00 to £15.99 a month and includes Evening and Weekends Calls as there isn't a cost shown for it
