Very rarely I'd say.

Hello again, thought I'd give you the update after my rewiring efforts
So I put in the VDSL2 faceplate HPsauce suggested, plugged the TG582n into that and then ran some Cat5e across the house to my TP-link router which I set up as a WAP.
Everything seems to be working grand now, and I've got a rock solid wi-fi signal all over the house for the first time.. Here's the most recent speedtest (taken from my laptop wirelessly connected to the TP-link)
Download speed achieved during the test was - 16.41 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 18.44 Mbps
So there's been a definite increase, and the IP Profile is up a couple of Mbps from what it was before. Will my Plusnet profile adjust up to this figure now?

It should catch up within 24 hours. If not, the Digital Care Team can give it a nudge on Monday. Alternatively, you can call support and get them to do it; just ask them to match the Plusnet 'Current Line Speed' profile with the BT IP profile/bRAS.

Great, thanks.
I'm very happy with my increased speed and wi-fi coverage
Just set up a server on my computer and am enjoying streaming stuff all over the house

True. I'm a big fan of the vDSL 'interstitial' filter plates, which I first learned about from HPsauce. I'm glad one was of use to DaddyG,
