When can I move provider?

Hello. My Plusnet Broadband is so very slow (they can't seem to fix this) that I will need to move provider. My contract ends the 4th July. Do I need to wait until this date (I have seen the costs will go up a lot in 'My account') or can I move before this to avoid additional costs? How does this work? Thank you.

Are you on ADSL, FTTC or FTTP?

If either ADSL or FTTC, any other provider will be using the same Openreach infrastructure between your home and the street cabinet. Another provider would likely not be much, if any, better in terms of speeds. If you are on FTTP is there is an alternative infrastructure supplier in your area, eg CityFibre?

What speeds were you expecting to get and what are you actually getting?

Are you using speed test websites, or looking at the Hub router statistics?

How are you measuring your speeds? (Via a wired or WiFi connection).
