Whatever happened to the DNS platform update?

The DNS platform will be upgraded by mid-December 09.  This date is now firm.  We will then provide a tool on the Portal to enable the rDNS to be changed as appropriate, and all new accounts with a static IP will be issued with a reverse DNS of the IP address.  The tool and the changes will be rolled following our code freeze in mid January.
I will confirm the exact timings in December.
Fletch

Since then there has been nothing said. Sad
What has/is happening?

Note: Fletch has confirmed that December 09 is a typo. December 08 is meant.

Lee from Networks answered this at http://usergroup.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,5434.msg84072.html#msg84072

And unless you're a usergroup member, you can't read that, as pierre was trying to say.

Re: Whatever happened to the DNS platform update?

What I'd like to know is why the question was asked a few times on the PUG forums and not answered and then, when I ask on here an answer appears over there.
Are PUG having general problems getting answers out of Plusnet?

Hmmmm, Dec.09 wasn't a typo then? And I'm not so sure it doesn't need fixing now, but I still have an open mind on that.

I'm sure it was just overlooked (as Maurice has mentioned that's something we're trying to get better at).
Regarding the DNS upgrade, I'll see if Mike can pop into this thread at some point (although I know he's pretty busy at the mo).

Hmm, confused... it's not in an NDA bit of the board, as Jelv has managed to respond to the thread as have other people...

No - its in PUGIT Comments, which you can only see if you have signed up for an account/signed in.
