All outbound TCP and UDP ports are open with plusnet supplied hubs, it will be the same for any Service Providers routers.
Have you been a plusnet customer for a long time, there was once an account based firewall found in the Broadband section of the members centre, if it exists it should be turned OFF.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
