I'm not sure.  It could be a stuck profile.  Obviously the IP Profile reporting itself isn't stuck, but the throughput may actually be, on other words, the changes haven't actually taken affect.
I'll get a fault raised.

Joy of joys, speed has now returned to around 6000kbps without any changes on my end.  Think that proves my point.  Still don't know why or how but as long as it stays there I'm happy.  It would suggest to me that there was a problem somewhere else, either Plusnet or BT.  As a matter of interest I'm wirelessly connected to a BT voyager 2100 router which I've used happily for over a year.  The tweaktest confirmed my settings as ok and yes I had obviously checked the speed on several other speedtests, not that I don't have absolut faith in BT Roll_eyes

Thanks James, I think you were probably right but as you can see I'm happy again now as it's cleared itself.
