Speed change on contract Renewal

Renewed last month and for some reason my line stats changed immediately upon renewal.

It has been locked at its current settings since the changeover.  I know this is by no means slow, just wondering why the drop since renewal.

 

Original sync

Down:70087944 Up 20195628

 

Sync since renewal

Down:59995000  Up 20000000

 

The down rate never varies since renewal, just wondering why its lower.  Both directions are Fast path mode.

Hiya @graham00, thanks for getting in touch. I'm sorry to hear you've noticed a drop in your speed! It's certainly strange! 

I have ran a test and whilst the cause of this hasn't been highlighted, I can see the line was banded at 60mb so I've now reset this for you and looks like it's improved already. 

 

Have you had any other issues at all?

@ginchy  What scam would that be? Plusnet have no control over Openreach DLM doing whatever it does so the fact that the line was banded at 60Mbps is in no way related to the contract renewal. You probably have other ideas which are incorrect.

I have every justification in the world for being sceptical, suspicious, and completely & utterly mistrusting in Plusnet being scammers I have a recorded telephone conversation with plusnet staff trying to extort money out of me by lying to me and being in complete contradiction of Plusnet's t&c!!!!

 

I rest my case!

 

Now they are refusing to answer my questions because they are about leaving the service that just sums them up!
