I'm a new fttc customer and got my line up and running on the 11th. When the engineer connected up the line and did his speed tests he told me i should be getting the maximum speed no problems 80/20 as i'm very close to the cabinet and so it was for the first few days, I can't recall exactly when but after a period of time I noticed my speed seemed to be lower at around 60/20. I hadn't restarted or anything my sync rate on the plus.net was still showing at 78mb. I did a router restart hoping it would climb back up to 80 but it just went down to around 63mb sync or so. And today i restarted again with same hopes but it just dropped again down 43mb. All the speedtests i've done were always inaccurate, as they didn't seem to saturate the line quick enough, i've been using steam with large game downloads for download speeds and filesharing hosts for uploads. The upload speed doesn't seem to have been affected at all during this, so i'm a bit curious on whats going on and why can't i connect at full speed?
Also another problem I have is with the router's wireless, the laptops upstairs seem to get "limited access" now and again, where you're unable to access the internet until you restart the adapter or manually reconnect.
Here's the test results from the bt test site:
1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Download Speed
41.21 Mbps
0 Mbps 43.39 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 41.21 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 16 Mbps-43.39 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 43.39 Mbps
2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.
Upload Speed
6.8 Mbps
0 Mbps 20 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 6.8Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

It's likely that the odd drops over the past few days have caused these profile drops:

Not sure if these are reboots of the modem by yourself or line drops, but either way it's likely that those are causing the problem. I suspect the only way we'll be able to get this sorted would be as a fault, but I'm afraid we can't make any promises - if you could raise it to us via the wizard at http://faults.plus.net (assuming the drops aren't being done manually) we'll see what we can do for you.

I'm afraid currently there isn't any way for customers to get these graphs though if you set up routerstats that may have a similar functionality? The program itself can be found at http://vwlowen.co.uk/internet/files.htm

I left this just to see what happened without raising any faults, and it seems to have stabilized for now, but sadly its only 36mb, I bought an unlocked openreach modem from ebay and while i used it i noticed that there was a very high number of errors on the line, which most likely is the cause for the drops. If that's that case is it a good bet its the wiring from the cabinet to the house? Also i can't seem to interact with the router's homepage on windows 7, any ideas why? here's a picture to show you.
And also would it be possible to get another graph from the date of the last one?

The connection has been up solidly for 13 days now, I won't bother posting a graph for that reason
Quote Also i can't seem to interact with the router's homepage on windows 7, any ideas why?
What happens?

Just found out its my ad blocker ad muncher, normally it wouldn't be an issue but it seems that these routers don't handle http/1.0 requests properly and you end up with that
And could you provide the graph for the days before the line was ok, i would still like to check what was going on.

I use adblocker at home so I'll check later and see if that causes the same issue when trying to log into my TG582n
Here's how the connection's been performing since before the current stable period, hope this helps:

Quote Raised a fault as this needs to gets fixed.
That was definitely the right thing to do.
BTW I did try logging into the router a few days a go with adblocker enabled and had no problem at all.

Just a small request since my ticket doesn't seem to have been looked into for past few days, could someone uncap my speed? it seems to be stuck at 30mb profile while my sync rate shown by the bt speedtest seems much higher.
Thanks

That's been bumped for you, give it 10-15 minutes and you should see the difference

So since the last engineer visit I've been monitoring the connection closely even bought the static ip addon so it would be easier to track, and there still seems to be a big problem! As the engineer has told me he was getting some errors during the test which seemed to have disappeared later on, he switched some wires around before this and all seemed fine except now on occasions when going across the main doorway the line either cuts out or has 100% packet loss He mentioned that he might have to replace that part of the cable, but didn't because the tests were eventually saying everything was alright. I guess he wasn't sure what was causing it and I only realized it now when multiple times the internet disappeared as the door was being opened.
Anyway seems like this problem can only be solved by a new piece of cable being connected to the main socket, and also during the initial installation I didn't receive the fiber extension kit as the engineer said he didn't have it, although i clearly ticked the box when placing the order. And since i assumed i paid for it I'd like to get it, and preferably installed.
Hope this can be booked a bit quicker than the last engineer
Thanks
