Lots of advice  but no help from Plusnet or Openreach ...

@stathe

When I started this topic, you had six months to get everything sorted out before Openreach switch off your phone line - which will trigger your Plusnet account closing and you losing your ADSL broadband, your phone number and email.

Half the time has now passed, and I have no confidence that Plusnet are going to do anything before it is too late.

If you don't want to be cut off, then my instructions in the first post in this topic are still valid.

Don't just hope that your email will be transferred to Greenby's awful service - change email provider NOW as I suggested,

as you are running out of time before your phone service disappears if you don't get it moved to a VoIP service very soon.

@stathe

Have you bought yourself a replacement VoIP telephone, or an analogue telephone adaptor ("ATA") to allow your existing handset to be plugged in a spare LAN socket on your "Smarty" / "3" mobile network router ?

You need to be ready to 'port' your landline phone number at short notice to a VoIP telephone service provider,  as it appears that Plusnet have started issuing notifications to ADSL customers like you, informing them that their Plusnet phone service will end soon.

With some VoIP providers, you can setup your hardware in advance of transferring your precious landline number, with a temporary phone number, so that you can get your new phone setup and debugged before your analogue landline gets cut off.

Note that Plusnet's notice period for withdrawing a service is typically 28 days.

I anticipate that Plusnet will want to have closed the majority of phone accounts before December 2026, as the first two weeks of December they often have a surge in orders following Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, then Plusnet have a long Christmas shutdown, and January will be a desperate rush for all ISP's phone users trying to convert before the end of the month. Therefore you likely have as little as the 28 days notice period, and at most 52 working days before December, to get your telephone service sorted out.

Reminder, when you 'port' your landline number to a VoIP provider, that your ADSL broadband will cease and your Plusnet account will close.  Fortunately you now have mobile broadband, so you will still have access to the internet.
