Re: Smart Hub 2

Just a thougtht, but does a MacBook have 5GHz wireless capability, or is it 2.4GHz only?

Is it one of those issues where the OP has to temporarily turn off 5GHz on the Hub2, make the connection with the laptop,  and then re-enable 5GHz on the Hub2?

Re: Smart Hub 2

I can connect to my next door neighbours Wi-Fi no problem so it’s not the MacBook. I use it daily and at different location.

Re: Smart Hub 2

That’s what I was think so I isolated them individually to try and connect like I’ve had to with my old ring doorbell and still no connection.

Are they with Plusnet?

Re: Smart Hub 2

In  that case, I'm stumped. If your other devices connect to your network, and the MacBook connects to other networks, I can't see the issue.

What did the diagnostics actually say? - there are those on here that can interpret the responses, even if you can't.

I will screen the error log shortly and the router log too.

And the result of the diagnostics after the failure?

@vdubgirlmk4

Have a look at the following link, it's for the BT version of the Hub two, but it is worth a try.

Re: Smart Hub 2

Thank You, I use to use a BT router and loved it. Connected it all up again and no issue.

Plugged in the Plusnet smart hub 2 and repeated the whole process again what felt like a million times and finally got it working.

Re: Smart Hub 2

Fix
I’ve got it working, repeated the steps in what felt like a million times and a dozen restarts for it to finally let me connect.
