That's not great, is this a problem all the time or just at night?
I'd be interested to see a BT speedtest if you get it going.

the problem has only been the last 2 days and last monday, and i think the tuesday before that.  It wasn't really an issue for me as i work shifts (sunday wendesday) , but have finished early the last 2 days and it's not possible to play online with pings like that, and the speed to a lesser extent.  My connection and speeds have been the best i have had for gaming since i migrated, i hope this is just a temporary glitch !

It definitely should be a temporary problem.
Let me know if you get the speedtest going, if not I'll run a line test tomorrow morning (I don't have access to the systems to do it right now).

Thanks mand, but like i said speed isn't the main concern for me it's ping and that's not down to my ip profile is it??  (i'm a noob at this web stuff)

Nope, shouldn't make a difference. I'm not a gamer so I'm not as expert as I should be with ping related issues TBH.

just gateway hopped again, to one i have hopped to numerous times tonight and now got a 37 ping via speedtest.net , but am running routerstats and getting mad spikes of 100+ ?

Constant or occassional? What does a ping via command prompt say?

Hmmm that's not as bad as the speedtesters were reporting is it? Not fantastic though.

that was better than the one i did seconds before it, i couldn't c & p that one as all i was getting was the tracert from the previous post, had to start cmd again and got 'lucky' lol.  Ping is fine this morning, just hope it stays like that till i finish my shift at 2pm
