Re: Router Woes

I tried setting up reserved IP addresses for all the computers but still no joy, in the meantime I got my fifth reply from Netgear and just to put the boot in the router disconnected whilst I was replying too it!

Since the date of purchase is less than and within 30 days of store warranty you can take it back to stores and get replaced from the shop itself.
It will be easy and fast process for you too.

I guess that solves the ‘not having another router to test it with‘ problem! Seems a shame after all the testing but if the manufacturers don’t know what’s wrong with it then what can you do.
Thanks all for your help, I’ll let you know if the new one works...

Re: Router Woes

I upgraded to the next model when I took it back, a DGN 2200, and haven’t had the problem since. The new router is more powerful and my network is showing up as having a much stronger signal than the neighbours so whether the router was faulty or it was interference I shall never know.
Many thanks for all your suggestions.
