Dear PlusNET users,
Would someone kindly provide a solution on how I could establish a remote management session with the F@ST2704N Router as supplied by PlusNET.
Most (if not all) other routers allow this capability, and I'm pretty sure this is built-in to this router also, but can't find the page to enable this option.
Kind Regards,
Niraj

Although not directly answering your question, I would suggest that those routers that do have remote management don't offer much in the way of security...
Far better, IMHO, to implement a solution that allows an external user to establish a VPN connection to a server on the LAN and then access the router over the tunnel? There's an article for the Raspberry Pi here (the first one I found)

OpenVPN isn't the simplest to get going so here's an article for an L2TP setup (Not as secure as OpenVPN but god enough for most occasional users!)

You will need to fiddle with getting the XML config from your router, editing it and uploading it back. Something similar has been done for ICMP to the WAN interface here: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,137629.msg1219181.html#msg1219181

I know this thread is old, but I found a reference to an "expert user" page, which allows you to configure the DHCP pool, static MAC reservations, and to change the admin password. Worked for me today.
