Plusnet Service Status on 0800 917 6714

Lost my Plusnet Broadband 00:30 this morning, just as I had set up many tabs to view / download.
My Browser ?
Checked with Plusnet Service Status on 0800 917 6714, which informed me of BT Broadband Maintenance between midnight and 6am.
This is an excellent service Plusnet provide, if you don't know it already, note this number, as your first port of call if Broadband Issues arise.
There is also the Plusnet Service Status webpage, but you need Internet access to view that !!

The BT maintenance is the 3rd one down on this page: https://portal.plus.net/supportpages.html?a=2&support_action=maintenance&ispservice_id=adsldial (click the spanner to show planned maintenance when you're on the service status page).

It would be useful if service status notifications/updates were posted in a thread on forum.

I'm not so sure it would, we actually used to do it but there were tiny numbers of views on that board. The information is already available across a few different places so I'm not sure adding another would gain much benefit. Happy to be proved wrong though?

Plusnet Service Status on 0800 917 6714 is always my first port of call.
When I switch on my Plusnet specific Service Status Text messages Tweets dedicated mobile, I usually have to wait for around 30 messages to download !  
(7 days worth of SMS)
I don't turn that mobile on very often..  
It used to be very noisy at 2am, until I switched it to vibrate only !

Perhaps you need to promote this Tweets to SMS service ?
(Which is actually done by enabling Mobile on your Plusnet Service twitter account )

Of course it would be useful. You want people to see these things, right? If people see them on forum because they don't see them anywhere else, it will save us and you time in phone calls and the appearance on forum of a number of new threads on the same issue when people have a problem. It would be easier for me, at least. I've only ever seen service status updates that I've been directed to from here - and typically after the fact. Otherwise, they're not easy to find ... 'across a few different places'. I would have thought the forum got more views than, say the usergroup (which I find nigh on impossible to find anything useful there).

The maintenance certainly worked for me, on my 20mb/s line !
