Old EE hub and smart disc set up

Good afternoon all, first post on this forum.

I have joined Plusnet recently and generally happy. the only thing is i don't get the WiFi coverage i did with my old EE router and extender discs. i have bought a wifi booster off Amazon to try and help but it doesn't work as well as the discs used to.

I have looked on the forum and see that people have done it using their old BT router and discs. is there any reason why i could not configure my old EE router to do the same? i have tried putting my username and password in to the EE router but it doesn't seem to work, so i'm wondering if i've done something wrong or it just can't be done?

would really appreciate any help/pointers

Which EE router do you have?

And are you sure it is the correct PN username and password?

Are you entering them with the dsl cable in-lugged?

Here's a picture of the router....i'm sure i am entering the correct username and password. username followed by plusdsl.net etc.

i disconnected everything from the router before i started so all that was connected was the power lead, i connected wirelessly to the ee router and entered the details. i rebooted the router to check it had remembered the details i had changed and it had. i put the rest of the leads etc back in but could not connect to the internet?

That looks like one of the newer EE Smart Routers.

Although BT, EE and PN all use the same basic router, the firmware differs in each one. But it should work - I think!

Are you able to share the WAN error log?

i will try and share that. not an expert but i think i know what your after
